A58-year-old woman, who is expecting twins after fertility treatment, is to marry her partner before the birth, she disclosed in a statement. The woman said they had a 'long-standing and loving relationship, equivalent to that of husband and wife'. Her announcement followed a newspaper report that she was unmarried, and she repeated an appeal for the press to respect her privacy.
