Fireball protest

Graham Bamford, 48, of Macclesfield, Cheshire, who set himself alight outside the Houses of Parliament was protesting about Western inaction in Bosnia, an inquest was told. Recording a verdict that Mr Bamford killed himself, the Westminster coroner, Dr Paul Knapman, said: 'He has taken his own life in a dramatic gesture which some have described as futile.'
