Customs officers believe they have smashed a Mafia drug smuggling ring into Britain. A Customs spokesman said the UK seizure, worth pounds 70m, was the 'first confirmed involvement of Mafia in drug smuggling into UK'. Three men were arrested after 2,425lb (1,100kg) of cocaine were seized at Felixstowe and in Sicily, in a major drug sting involving police in Italy, England and Colombia.
