A coroner issued a warning to middle-aged business executives to ensure they are fit when taking part in stressful exercise. John Hollis, the Powys coroner, made his remarks after recording a verdict of death by natural causes on Geoffrey Ledgard, 46, of Much Wenlock, Shropshire, who died while taking part in a rigorous outdoor management course with 24 other company executives over the Brecon Beacons in mid-Wales.
