Ford chairman hurt

Ian McAllister, the chairman of the Ford Motor Company, and Eric Pickles, the Conservative MP, were hurt when their Jaguar XJ6 car was involved in a crash in which another man died in Lewes, East Sussex. The dead man was named as Edward Clark, 57, of Hastings.
