Three men have been convicted of plotting a gigantic counterfeit currency operation that could have 'seriously hurt' the US economy. More than dollars 4.5m (pounds 3m) had already been printed, Inner London Crown Court was told, but enough banknote paper was found for a further dollars 100m.
Richard Wislocki, 45, of Banstead, Surrey, Clifford Chadwick, 57, of Durham, and Peter Trask, 53, of Penge, south-east London, were found guilty of forgery and will be sentenced at a later date with two other men.
