A TUG was on its way to help the Russian fish factory ship Darius, with 110 people on board, drifting in storm-force winds 10 to 15 miles west of Shetland after losing almost all engine power. On mainland Scotland, a couple died when a tree fell on their car on the A8 near Gogar, Lothian. The A66 was closed to high-sided vehicles.
