Girl waiting for new heart dies
Four-year-old Catherine Hurley, from Ilford, east London, died yesterday, a spokesman for the Royal Brompton Hospital, Chelsea, south-west London, said.
Catherine, who suffered from a weakening of the heart muscles, had been waiting for a heart transplant at the specialist heart and lung centre, but despite a national appeal by her parents no suitable donor had been found.
