Gulf War soldier sues

An Army gunner, Richard Mulcahy, is to sue the Ministry of Defence for his deafness which he claims was caused by operating M110 self-propelled howitzers in the Gulf War without ear defenders. No date for the hearing has been given. If successful, the Court of Appeal challenge will leave the MoD open to thousands of claims running into hundreds of millions of pounds.
