A verdict of accidental death was recorded on a Romanian found hanged at his home after being refused asylum in Britain. A Birmingham inquest heard that Cosma Axente, 37, had applied for asylum last year August when he landed at Heathrow airport, after leaving his wife and two children in Bucharest. But in July he was told his request would be refused.
