Nation-wide health checks could curb the growing menace posed by the liver-attacking Hepatitis C virus, doctors said. One person in 1,400 is now thought to be infected with Hepatitis C, which can be passed on through blood transfusions and unprotected sex, according to the British Medical Journal.
