The British weather, predictably unreliable as ever, took a turn for the worse over the Easter weekend, with heavy rainfall at Clevedon Pier, Somerset – among other places. That came after the mini-heatwave and the brief cold snap, of course. Wales was hit the hardest, the Met Office said, with Lletty Brongu, in Bridgend, seeing 34mm of rain in 24 hours.
