Babysitters call for first aid training
Babysitters are calling for compulsory first aid training to become part of the national curriculum to help them to do their job properly.
A report by the Daycare Trust contains "near-miss" stories from babysitters including those of children in their care climbing out of windows, falling off chairs or choking.
It says a third of the 15 to 24-year-olds who become babysitters do so to help parents work and so are crucial to the future of the economy.
