FRENCH royalists made a symbolic attempt to reclaim Ecrehou, a rocky outcrop off the Channel Island of Jersey. More than 200 fishermen, activists and their families landed on the rock, held a Catholic mass and raised the Normandy flag. Police stopped five men from pulling down the Union Jack.
