Caravan crashes into woman walking down street after disconnecting from car
Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries in collision

A 69-year-old woman has been critically injured after she was hit by a caravan, which disconnected from the car towing it before crashing into her.
A white Toyota Avensis was towing the caravan in Carson Mount, Sheffield on Monday when it separated from the vehicle and collided with the pedestrian.
The woman suffered life-threatening injuries and has been taken to hospital.
“Emergency services were called at 2.20pm to Carson Mount, Sheffield, following reports a caravan had been involved in a collision with a pedestrian,” a South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.
Carson Mount is a residential area in a suburban part of Sheffield, around 5km from the city centre.
Detectives are investigating the cause of the crash and urged witnesses to come forward.
The woman remains in a serious condition in hospital.
