Climate campaigners blockade oil refinery
Hundreds of climate campaigners blockaded an oil refinery yesterday.
About 400 people, part of the campaign group Crude Awakening, protested outside the Coryton site in Essex. The protest began with 12 women locking themselves to lorries on an access road to delay tankers. The protesters say they stopped about 50 vehicles, but Petroplus, the refinery owners, said deliveries were operating normally.
