Cyclist shouts at 'dangerous' driver for turning 'on top' of him...but the internet sides with motorist

Footage of a cyclist confronting a female driver he claims “dangerously” cut across him has divided the internet - with many siding with the motorist.

The video shows the cyclist - who filmed the encounter on his helmet camera - being overtaken by three cars.

The second car then puts their indicator on to turn left into a Lidl car park up ahead, infuriating the cyclist.

He followed the woman into the car park and began shouting at her for turning “on top of [him]” and said she was a “f***ing” idiot.

He is heard shouting at the car “what are you, some sort of f***ing idiot? You're on camera” before waiting until she got out in the car park to confront her.

He said: “Excuse me, I don't know if you realise what you did out on the road back there but it's really dangerous.

“'You overtook me, I'm doing 20-odd miles an hour down the road, you overtook me as I came up to the turning there and then turned in on top of me.”

The women responded that he was “miles back” when she turned and asked to see the footage.

The cyclist then said he had got her registration plate on camera and threatened to report her to the police.

Eventually the woman apologised for the incident but said she thought his reaction was “a little extreme”.

Having accepted her apology he told her he would delete the footage when he got home because she said sorry.

But the video appeared on a Facebook group called “Idiot Drivers Exposed” with many comments calling the man an “idiot” and a “bully”.

Greig Allan said: “What an absolute moron of a cyclist. Should be reported for A: being a t*** and B: for harassment. Wish it had been me he had approached. Then again probably a spineless idiot who picks on woman.”

David Seale said: “I'm a cyclist and he's totally at fault. Bet he wouldn't confront a guy like that! Big man standing up to and frightening a woman!”

The identity of the cyclist is unknown.
