Dog bite judge will not face action
A Crown Court judge who stormed out of court after being convicted of failing to control her dangerous dog will not face disciplinary action.
Beatrice Bolton, of Rothbury, Northumberland, called the verdict "a fucking travesty" when she was convicted of allowing her German shepherd to bite her neighbour. She was heard yelling, "I'll never set foot in this court again" following the hearing in December 2010.
But the Office for Judicial Complaints said yesterday it had dropped its investigation into her conduct as she had "retired on medical grounds before the disciplinary process was formally concluded".
