EuroMillions lottery winner: Ticket-holder yet to claim £93 million winnings

The jackpot had not been won since 26 May and if claimed would make the ticket-holder the sixth richest lottery winner

A single ticket bought in the UK has won £93 million in last night’s EuroMillions draw.

So far, nobody has come forward to claim the jackpot, which is the biggest in the UK this year and the sixth largest jackpot in the UK ever.

The numbers on the winning ticket are 5, 8, 10, 11 and 37 as well as two lucky numbers 7 and 9.

This week’s jackpot of £93,388,943 was unusually large since the lottery had not been won since 26 May, causing the total to roll over.

If claimed, the money would placethe lucky winner sixth on the National Lottery richlist, although still some way behind the Scots couple Colin and Chris Weir who won £161m in 2011.

The couple, from Ayrshire, later set up The Weir Charitable Trust with £5m of their winnings to support charities and groups in Scotland. They also donated £1m to the SNP during the campaign for Scottish Independence.

A Camelot spokeswoman said: “We await a claim and, of course, have plenty of champagne on ice for our latest EuroMillions multi-millionaire.

“It’s the fourth – and largest – EuroMillions jackpot win in this country already this year, and the lucky ticket-holder enters the National Lottery rich list in sixth place.”
