Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating after four workmen were killed in an accident while working on foundations for an offshore project.

A steel structure is believed to have collapsed on the workers on Friday afternoon at the site in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. All of the men came from Stanton, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, and two of them were brothers. They were named as Dan Hazelton, 30, his brother Tom, 26, Peter Johnson, 42, and Adam Taylor, 28.

Labour MEP Richard Howitt said: "If there is any evidence of criminal negligence, those responsible must be held to account."
