An elderly woman has had 37 gnomes stolen from her garden in Angus.
The figures, which police describe as "small garden gnomes", were taken from a garden in Brechin Road, Arbroath, between 23 and 30 April.
The gardening gnomes were taken from the woman's front garden.
Police said they are of little monetary value, but their owner is "understandably upset" at being the victim of the theft.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "If someone has taken them as a prank or because they think it is funny, we can assure them that it is not."
Anyone with any information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101.
