Huge delays on M25 in Kent after pedestrian killed

Motorists faced major delays on the M25 in Kent during the morning rush-hour after a pedestrian died on the motorway.The male pedestrian, believed to be from Kent, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The clockwise carriageway of the motorway between junctions 3 and 4 is likely to remain closed until later this morning.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Emergency services are at the scene of the collision which is reported to have involved a lorry and a pedestrian.

"A diversion is in place but drivers are warned to expect delays."
