Justin Timberlake says he is “heartbroken” he had to cancel a stop on his US tour due to illness

The American singer, 44, announced he could not perform at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, during his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour shortly before the show was due to start on Thursday.

On his Instagram, he said: “You guys, I’m heartbroken, I have to cancel the show tonight.

“I went into soundcheck battling the flu and now it’s gotten the best of me.

“It kills me to disappoint you and my team who worked so hard to make this show happen. I want to reassure you, you’ll be getting refunds for your tickets. I love you all.”

The Cry Me A River singer had to reschedule concerts in 2024 due to bronchitis and laryngitis.

He is expected to travel to South America for the Lollapalooza festivals in Chile, Argentina and Brazil, along with other festival appearances, before taking his tour to Europe with UK dates in Belfast, Newport and Essex throughout June and July.

Last year, Timberlake pleaded guilty to impaired driving, resolving a criminal case stemming from his June arrest in New York state on a drink-driving charge.
