A mother and her partner have appeared in court charged with murdering her two-year-old son.
Sarah O’Brien, 32, and Martin Currie, 36, are accused of killing Keigan O’Brien at a property in Doncaster, the town’s magistrates’ court was told on Saturday.
The pair, who appeared separately, only spoke to confirm their name and address as well as the fact they understood the charge they face.
They have both been remanded in custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday.
Keigan, who was described as a ‘cheeky monkey’, was rushed to hospital from a property in Bosworth Road on Wednesday morning but died the next day.
