A bus was blown up on a bridge in central London as part of a filming for a new movie – sparking a temporary panic among unsuspecting tourists and bystanders.
A number of people in the centre of the capital were left shocked after the blast on Lambeth Bridge sent flames high into the air, with some witnesses fearing it was a terrorist attack.
But amid panic among some social media users, others pointed out that warnings had been issued that the explosion would be taking place on Sunday morning.
The blast will feature in forthcoming move 'The Foreigner', which will feature a cast including Pierce Brosnan and Jackie Chan.
But Sophie Kinsella, was one of many local residents who took to twitter to complain.
She tweeted: “Hey film types next time you blow up a bus on Lambeth Bridge maybe tell us first so children in park aren't freaked?”
Despite signs being placed around the bridge and local residents receiving written warnings, many were still unaware of the planned explosion.
Bystanders also said they had spotted parts of the wreckage from the stunt floating on the Thames.
