LAWYERS should cut the length of their speeches to help speed up cases and enable courts to reduce the growing backlog of hearings, the Master of the Rolls said yesterday. Sir Thomas Bingham told the annual barristers' Bar Conference that time limits should be set on court cases. He said greater use of written arguments in High Court appeals would save time.
