The article said a land transaction made by Fred Elliott, a farmer in Belcoo, Co Fermanagh, 'avoided the risk the land might go to a Catholic'. We wish to make clear at no time was Mr Elliott motivated by any such consideration. We apologise for any embarrassment this may have caused.
