London bus driver wins praise after freestyling for entire journey
Driver brings cheer to morning commute after breaking into song
A London bus driver won plaudits from passengers after he rapped his way through the morning commute.
Freestyling behind the wheel of a 55 bus which runs from Leyton in east London and Oxford Circus in the capital's centre, the unnamed driver covered a wide range of topics in his song, including Oyster contactless travel card fraud.
He also gave a shout out to a passenger named Simon.
The footage was captured by Ed Leon Klinger, who said the driver had rapped continuously during his trip between Hackney Road and Leather Lane.
“Big up my bus driver this morning, who hilariously freestyled the entire journey without stopping once,” he wrote on Twitter.
The incident was not the first time a London bus driver has brought a smile to the faces of the British public this year.
David Allison, who works at Putney bus garage, went viral in June when a video of him preventing a motorcyclist from hitting a pedestrian before offering a fist-bump was shared online.
