.london: Capital gets its own domain name

City Hall celebrates the capital's own domain name (PA)

City Hall in central London was lit red after Internet regulators agreed it could have its own domain name.

It will ditch .com for .london from next year, and tens of thousands of businesses and cultural sites have already expressed an interest.
