A woman and two men have been taken to hospital in east London after a triple stabbing at a property in Leyton.

The female victim, believed to be in her 30s, was attacked along with two men at an address in Church Road on Saturday afternoon.

She remains in critical condition following the stabbing. The slash wounds suffered by the two men were not life-threatening, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 3.30pm.

A spokesman for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called to Church Road, E10 at 15:37hrs on Saturday, 5 January following reports of a man injured.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a woman with stab injuries and two men with slash wounds.

“They have been taken to an east London hospital for treatment. The woman aged in her thirties is in a critical condition. Both men’s injuries are not life threatening or changing.”

An air ambulance was also sent to the scene. A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We sent three ambulance crews, a paramedic in a car and an incident response officer, and also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated two men and a woman at the scene and took all three as a priority to hospital.”

A crime scene is in place on Church Road as police in the Waltham Forest area continue to investigate.

Charlotte Huggins, 33, was the victim of London’s first homicide of 2019 after she was discovered with stab injuries at a home in Camberwell, south London hours into the new year.

Michael Rolle, 34, of nearby Dulwich, has been charged with murder following the death. A second man who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released under investigation.
