A man has been killed in a collision on the M5 motorway.
Police said the man was a pedestrian, and was hit by a car near Stroud on Saturday morning.
The motorway was closed in both directions are emergency services responded to the incident.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: “A man has died following a collision between a car and a pedestrian on the M5 near junction 13 for Stroud this morning.
"We were called to the southbound side of the M5 just after 7.30am.
“The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
The motorway was initially closed between junction 12 and junction 14 in both directions, but later reopened.
Police appealed for witnesses to contact officers by calling 101.
