Two fishermen missing off the coast of Scotland were today found alive after a night of gales, snow and heavy frost.

The first was found on land. He had already moored his boat and became lost in a blizzard on the Isle of Skye.

The other was found after an air and sea search, clinging to his dinghy six miles offshore.

Both were taken to hospital but their conditions are not yet known. One is aged 46 and the other is 52.
