Lord Nelson's Breast Star of the Order of the Bath is to go on sale at Sothebys next month with an estimate of £300,000.

The decoration, awarded after the Battle of St Vincent in 1797, has three crowns surrounded by the order's motto, "Tria Juncta in Uno" (Three joined in one). It survived a robbery from the Painted Hall in Greenwich in 1900.
