A 4x4 which was driven up Mount Snowdon earlier this month has been mysteriously returned to the mountain.

The Vauxhall Frontera was discovered near the visitors' centre on Thursday morning.

Its owner, Craig Anthony Williams, of Cheltenham, was charged with dangerous driving and is due in court next week. Witnesses said a sign in the windscreen said it would be auctioned in aid of local mountain rescue teams.
