A passenger died after falling from a moving pick-up truck, police said today.

The man, in his 30s, suffered fatal injuries when he fell out of a black Toyota Hilux double cab truck on the A35 Redbridge causeway in Southampton at about 11.50pm last night.

It is believed the vehicle was travelling from the Southampton Boat Show in the city centre towards Totton.

A police spokesman said officers were not treating the death as suspicious but he appealed for witnesses.
