Plans to build a hotel and restaurant on a landfill site in Cornwall will go before a planning committee next week.

Downderry Construction Ltd, which owns the Carkeel landfill site in Saltash, wants to build a 45-bedroom hotel and other facilities.

Local residents, supported by Saltash Town Council, are opposing the firm's application due to fears of increased traffic and noise in the area.
