Lifeboats sent to rescue yacht entangled with chain ferry
Dramatic footage shows the RNLI lifeboats pulling the 24ft yacht to safety
Two RNLI lifeboats were dispatched to a report that a 24ft yacht was pinned against a chain ferry.
The vessel, which had two people onboard, had become entangled with the chain ferry on the inside of Poole’s harbour entrance.
The combination of the ebb tide and strong winds made any chance of freeing the vessel almost impossible.
Volunteers at the RNLI in Poole managed to free the two vessels, and no one was harmed in the incident on Sunday afternoon.
