A campaign to raise funds to bring a junior doctor back to the UK after he was injured on holiday has raised over £66,000 in one day
Sebastian Kola-Bankole, 35, was in Las Vegas for a friend's wedding when he was hit by a lorry as he crossed a road.
The accident left him so badly injured he had to be put into a medically-induced coma.
After having emergency operations on his ears, arteries and spine, Mr Kola-Bankole is in a "critical but stable condition" at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Centre in Las Vegas.
Now his friends and family are trying to raise enough money to pay for his treatment and return him to the UK.
They hope to raise £250,000 to pay for his treatment, which could cost well over £100,000, and to return him to the UK on a specialist medical flight.
Along with the campaign's founder, Alex Ademokun, many have tweeted their support using the hashtag #BringBackSeb:
Despite usually travelling with insurance, his family were unable to find Mr Kola-Bankole's documents after he was injured on the trip and are now faced with paying his bills.
