Signal failure hits Tube services

Workers returning to the City of London after the bank holiday break suffered travel delays today when a signal failure led to a Tube line being suspended.

The problem hit the Waterloo & City line, which links Waterloo station in central London to the Square Mile.

The line, known as the Drain, is used by thousands of City workers during the rush-hour.
