Porsche thief jailed after trapping himself in the sports car

A thief who filmed himself behind the wheel of a stolen Porsche has been jailed after being found trapped inside the totalled car.

Jamie Lee Sharp stole the keys to a Porsche Boxster during a burglary in Gloucester. The 25-year-old then filmed himself ringing up friends to brag about the vehicle.

Three separate clips have been released by Gloucestershire Police:

“Hey you little [inaudible] I’m in a Porsche Boxster, now look, hear the revs”.

“Hey babe, do you like the Porsche I’m driving right now… do you like that Porsche!”

“It’s mine babe, obviously come on, I’ve got links – you know me”.

Sharp and his accomplice, 26-year-old James Honeywell, stole a television and several small items from the house.

Sharp later crashed the Porsche into a wall in the city and was unable to escape the totalled vehicle. Honeywell managed to flee the scene.

The pair were jailed on Tuesday with Sharp receiving a four year jail sentence while Honeywell was jailed for 35 months.
