Trade war talks run out of time
US and Chinese officials were locked in eleventh-hour talks to try to avert a trade war over computer, music, video and intellectual property piracy, just hours before punishing trade sanctions were due to go into force.
At the start of the last full day of talks, the top American negotiator said significant progress was still needed to stave off a war, but later a Chinese official sounded a more positive note.
