Traffic warden caught parking on double yellow lines in Greater Manchester
Council worker caught on camera while issuing a ticket
A traffic warden parked on double yellow lines while issuing a ticket to a vehicle left in a disabled bay in Stockport.
In photographs the council worker is clearly shown parking his car illegally, despite there being plenty of available space in Arthur Street, Reddish, the Manchester Evening News reports.
According to the BBC, Stockport Council said Civil Enforcement Officers (CEO) “should not park on double yellow lines to issue penalty charge notices”.
A spokesperson said the officer was “issuing a penalty charge notice to a vehicle parked in a disabled bay without displaying a blue badges”.
“We have identified the CEO involved in the incident and will ensure the appropriate action is taken to avoid a repetition," they said.
