Trick-or treat children handed a real lamb's heart by a neighbour dressed as butcher
Children's hand left covered in blood by Halloween stunt
Two children ran away from a house screaming after a neighbour dressed in a butchers outfit handed one of them a real lamb's heart and chased them down the street.
A mother, who asked not to be named, said her four children aged between nine and 12 returned shaken up and covered in blood from trick or treating in their local neighbourhood.
She told Newshopper that her children had knocked on a local woman's door, who emerged wearing an apron covered in blood and brandishing a fake knife.
After answering the door, the neighbour allegedly gave one of the children a lamb's heart and a plastic bag to put it in.
She said: “She had a table out and on it were things like hearts and intestines and mince.
“She grabbed my daughter's friend's hands and gave her one of the hearts. I think at this point the children thought it was a fake heart.
“The woman gave them a plastic bag to put the heart in and then she chased them all down the street."
One of the girl's hand was covered in blood from carrying the raw meat.
The woman later told the children's father that "she was just getting into the spirit of Halloween", and "it was just a bit of fun!", she added.
Bromley Police said they had not received any complaints, according to Newsshopper.
