UK ticketholder wins £41m in weekly Euro draw

An unidentified UK ticketholder has scooped the £41m Euro lottery jackpot.

A cheque for £40,627,241 is likely to clear tomorrow.

The claimant, who was reported to have contacted Camelot, becomes the seventh biggest lottery winner in the UK in 18 years.

The winning numbers were: 02, 10, 22, 27 and 28, and the winning Lucky Star numbers were 06 and 08.

Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs, Scotland, who won £161m last July, hold the record for the largest UK lottery jackpot.
