The Scottish Office last night ruled out a public inquiry into the case of a seven-month- old baby boy who had the wrong kidney removed in a hospital operation. The Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital said its own inquiries did not indicate any failure of hospital systems.
Christopher McInally of Carnoustie, Tayside, was 'satisfactory' and on a kidney dialysis machine.
