A 21-year-old man was charged last night with the murder of four soldiers in an IRA landmine attack near Downpatrick, Co Down, in 1990. He is due to appear at a court in Newtownards, Co Down today, police said. He has also been charged with being a member of the IRA and causing an explosion at a bank in Downpatrick last November. The man is one of two to appear in court. They were arrested after a missile attack on a police patrol near Downpatrick a week ago.
