IRA fugitive remanded

PEARSE McCAULEY, the suspected IRA terrorist who escaped from Brixton Prison in 1991, was remanded in custody last night by Dublin's Special Criminal Court on four firearms charges.

He was arrested on Friday at the city's Connolly railway station and will next appear in court on 21 April.
