Journalist defends Broadmoor action
Managers at Broadmoor took a journalist to court yesterday in an attempt to force him to reveal his sources following the leaking of confidential reports on the escape of two killers from the top-security hospital.
Neil Hyde, of the INS News Group, based in Reading, Berkshire, appeared at a private hearing in the High Court.
The case concerns reports into the escapes last year of a rapist and murderer on a shopping trip, and of another murderer taken for treatment at an outside hospital. The hearing is expected to conclude today.
