A High Court judge urged John Patten, Secretary of State for Education, to reconsider 'with all due expedition' his refusal to pay private school fees for a gifted nine-year- old girl. The mother of Lucinda Cash-Gibson - who became the youngest member of Mensa at the age of four - says her daughter's 'special needs' cannot be met at state school.
