Judge says sorry over court kiss

A Crown Court judge has apologised to a woman usher who made an official complaint that he had kissed and touched her, the Lord Chancellor's Department said.

Judge William Crawford, 56, was suspended during an investigation of the incident at Newcastle upon Tyne Crown Court, but will sit again next week after the woman accepted his apology, the department said.
